Video for ‘Pop Like This” by Spoek Mathambo, the eclectic South African hipster rap/house duo (they call their music “dark township tech house sothocore new wave zulu funky”). Here they’re performing as their alias Playdoe.
Via Jace Clayton/DJ Rupture (who supplied his current chart to Mondomix. Apart from Spoek Mathambo, Rupture is also big on Toumani Diabaté playing his tune “Cantelowes” and lots of music from the Americas. Rupture is also the subject of a mini-documentary by Maga Bo).
